Ringkasan KTIRed chili  is one of the important horticultural crops, both for domestic consumption and export commodity. As we know the national need of chilies has been growing dramatically from year to year. Referring to the Indonesian agricultural information sistem, the national consumption of red chili increases 2 % annually. Recently, the demand of red chili  increases and makes this commodity becomes one of the potential plants to be developed in Indonesia. Based on Geospatial Information Agency, the length of Indonesian coastline is around 99 Km (2nd longest coastline in the world). This coastline land is potential for the cultivation of red chili  plants. Problems that occur in the cultivation of red chili  plants in coastal sand is a disruption of pests and diseases. One of the diseases found in red chili  plants is anthracnose disease caused by the fungi Colletotrichum sp. To control this disease, farmers usually use liquid chemical fungicide which is sprayed on red chili  fruit continuously. According to Rusdiana (2014), 76% of farmers in coastal sand in Yogyakarta spray this fungicide to anticipate pest attack on red chili  plants. However, since one of the characteristics of sand beach is having high sun exposure, the liquid chemical fungicide used is easy to evaporate consequently farmers continuously spray this chemical product. A permanent use of the chemical fungicides can lead to pathogenic resistance, environmental damage and is harmful to consumers’ health. Therefore, an alternative method to control the disease is badly needed. In fact, currently Indonesia is dealing with the challenges of the 2030 SDGs number 2 namely overcoming hunger, achieving food security and improving nutrition, and encouraging sustainable agriculture. It means that we need to establish a sustainable agriculture of-which the developed products are not only renewable but also environmentally friendly. Therefore, in this project a vegetable fungicide gel, CHILICA extract of Mimosa pudica root  for anthracnose disease in red chili  plant in coastal sand is created. The secondary data of this paper were drawn from a literature study of scientific journals, books, reports and miscellaneous sources from the internet. In addition, the primary data were derived from the direct practice of manufacturing and testing activities of CHILICA in Sub Chemistry Laboratory, UPT Integrated Laboratory, Sebelas Maret University Surakarta. According to Ratri (2017), extract of Mimosa pudica roots with 90% concentration can inhibit anthracnose symptoms in red chili  fruit with the percentage of inhibitory effectiveness around 28.01% while the percentage of incident disease is almost 0%, the diameter of spots is around 0 mm and incubation period of Colletotrichum sp is around 12 days. CHILICA packed in gel was transformed into 1000 ml spray bottle and covered with a box as protector. According to Rusdiana (2014) further reported that 76% of farmers in Kulon Progo sprayed the chemical pesticide on regular basis to anticipate pest attacks on red chili  plants. This is done because intensity of sunlight is very high in coastal-sand areas like Kulon Progo.  For that reason, I am very optimistic on the effective functions of CHILICA vegetable fungicide gel. Besides being effective in anticipating pest attack, CHILICA has the advantage of being environmentally friendly and has a high absorption power, especially in a coastal-sand area like Kulon Progo, Yogyakarta. The procedure to make CHILICA is as follows: (1) extracting sensitive root plants in maceration with etanol; (2) steaming them with a rotary evaporator and (3) mixing them with tween oil. CHILICA is used by spraying the gel into chili  fruit every week.  Meanwhile, the advantages of CHILICA products include: (1) an alternative to vegetable fungicides, (2) environmentally friendly and (3) high absorbent for sand beaches and coastal-sand areas. I do believe that with the strong support from the stake-holders this innovative product could support Indonesia to reach 2030 SDG’s in order to make Indonesia a sustainable agricultural country.
