Ringkasan KTIDengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) is a disease caused by dengue virus infection. The effects of such infections are the release of inflammatory mediators such as tumor necrosis factor-? (TNF-?), interleukin (IL) and prostaglandin E2, stimulated by activation of the nuclear factor kappa B (NF-kB) transcription factor. Expenditure of this inflammatory mediator causes to the increase in vascular permeability which leads to an effect on plasma leakage. Until now, there is no specific therapy for patients with DHF to address the causes of plasma leaks that occur. therefore, the author provide a new idea of  ??Denv Drink: a beverage combination of young coconut water, honey, and salt as a new innovation in the management of dengue hemorrhagic fever patients. This beverage is considered to reduce the severity and inhibit plasma leakage that occurs in patients with DHF through inhibition of inflammatory mediator production due to the content contained in young coconut water and honey. The purpose of this scientific paper is to know the process of making Denv Drink and know the potency of Denv Drink as a new innovation in the management of dengue patients. This literature review study comes from the analysis and synthesis of variously related references such as journals and textbooks with the last 10 years published. From the literature review found that there are several processes in the manufacture of Denv Drink in accordance with the standards of Good Manufacturing Product (GMP). First preparing the tools and materials needed, then carrying out the sterilization of the tools to be used using autoclave and biosafety. After that, young coconut water, honey, and salt are homogenized in biosafety and then pasteurized for 20 minutes with a temperature of 700C. After completing the pasteurization phase, subsequenlty the bevarages are packaged into sterilized bottles can be done in biosafety. The Denv Drink product is ready to be consumed. From the literature obtained, Denv Drink: a beverage combination of young coconut water, honey, and salt can be used as a new innovation in the treatment of dengue hemorrhagic fever because it has some potencies. The first potency comes from young coconut water. Based on the results of research that has been done, young coconut water proved to have anti-inflammatory effects that have been tested on animals inflammatory models. From the literature, it is explained that young coconut water contains abscisic acid and salicylic acid. These play a role in inhibiting transcription factor of NF-kB. The second potency comes from Honey. Based on research that has been done, honey has an anti-inflammatory effect that can inhibit transcription factor NF-kB. This effect comes from phenolic compounds contained in honey ie gallic acid and ellagic acid. The inhibitory effect of NF-kB that is possessed by young coconut water and honey is potentially good in inhibiting the pathogenesis of DHF because it can decrease the production of cytokines causing plasma leakage so that the effect of plasma leakage occurrence in DHF patients can be resolved soon. Young coconut water and honey also contain vitamin C which known for its ability to help in repairing the damage of the endothelial walls in patients with dengue due to dengue virus infection. The third potency comes from the salt content. The content of salt that plays a role is sodium. Sodium plays a role in increasing blood osmolarity. This increase comes from the nature of sodium ie water-binding. So with the addition of sodium within the blood vessels of DHF patients, it helps keeping the plasma fluid of the DHF patients remains in the blood vessels so that the shock state of dengue patients due to plasma leakage that occurs can be avoided. In summary, the process of making Denv Drink begins with the preparing the tools and materials, sterilization tools to be used, pasteurization drinks, and then done packaging. As well as Denv Drink considered potency to be an adjuvant therapy for patients with DHF that can help reduce the severity of plasma leakage or inhibit the leakage of plasma, in addition to the standard protocol management of DHF patients still given.
